Little girl in Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony; I had a bad day.

Thursday, August 14, 2008

This year's Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony was breathtaking! After watching the opening ceremony, I felt very proud because I was a Chinese. HAHA!

But the unbelievable thing about it, was the very cute 9 -year old little girl, Lin Miaoke. You heard her sing then. But to those who didn't know what the real story was.. it wasn't her who sang it. She was lip-syncing! The real little girl who sang the song was 7-year old Yang Peiyi. They replaced Peiyi with Miaoke just because Peiyi had buckteeth and wasn't 'cute' enough. And it was so last-minute! She was told 15 minutes before the event started that she was going to be replaced by someone 'cuter'.

On your left is Peiyi, and right is Miaoke. Peiyi is quite cute what, although yes... Miaoke is cuter. But I feel very sorry for Peiyi, although I admit the event was very nice! The people organizing this are too concerned about perfection! Nothing is perfect anyways.

Today was a very very very very bad day. SIGH, forgot to bring the Taekwando exam form, which means I'm not going to take the exam and have to wait for months to take another one. I remember Feli being white belt, and I was blue.. now she's going to be red, and I'm red!! I feel so darn stupid. Other stuff also happened. Argh I feel so much pressure. So tired till I fell asleep doing my essay just now. AND I STILL HAVE TIME TO BLOG?!?!

The only thing happy today was going to Petrosains. I went to Petrosains with schoolmates. It was very fun, although it was my 7th time going. I'll post about it when I get the pictures. SIGH.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [Matthew 11:28-29]
