The sausage stealer.

Friday, September 24, 2010

Christopher Chan is a sausage stealer.

I was eating my sausage sandwich for lunch which I brought to school today, but didn't manage to eat it because I forgot that I brought it o.O
Yeah anyways, I was almost done eating and then my brother appeared.

*Conversation is slightly edited (Just the grammar. The content remains the same)
Christopher: Hey! What is that?
Carmen: The sausage bread I brought to school today but didn't eat.
Christopher: Why is yours different? Not fair! Mine is another type, this is chicken sausage... can I try?
Carmen: Yeah, take ONE sausage. <--- (See how good a sister I am?)
Christopher: [Eats the sausage] Eh wait, it's the same. *BIG SMIRK WHICH REVEALS THAT HE WAS LYING SO THAT HE COULD STEAL MY SAUSAGE*

How dare he. :pandaGeli_10:

P/S: The Glee post is gonna be delayed. Still searching for good pictures.

Raj: [teaching Sheldon how to calm himself with meditation] OK, Sheldon imagine the place you feel most at home.
Sheldon: Sim City. In particular the Sim city I built, Sheldonopolis.
Raj: OK, you're in Sheldonopolis,
Sheldon: Where exactly? Sheldon square? Sheldon towers? Sheldon Stadium, home of the fighting Sheldons?
Raj: I don't know. You're in Sheldon square.
Sheldon: Really? This time of year? It's a bit nippy.
Raj: Then put on a sweater.
Sheldon: I suppose I'll go down to Shelmart and get a sweater. You know why it's good? Since I own it I get a 15% discount.
Raj: You own the damn place, just take a freaking sweater!
Sheldon: I didn't turn a profit last quarter from getting things off shelves willy nilly.
Raj: Fine! You've paid for a sweater and you're in Sheldon square.
Sheldon: Oh no!
Raj: What now?
Sheldon: A Godzilla like creature is attacking the city! I have to get my people up to safety. People of Sheldonopolis! This is your mayor! Follow me, we must evacuate the city! If the children can't run leave them behind! Oh the simulated horror! [Raj leaves and slams the door] Raj? [To himself] Just as I thought. Meditation is nothing but hokum.

Mamak Household, 3rd generation

Thursday, September 9, 2010

If you guys are frequent readers of my blog, you should know that I have created a legacy in The Sims 3: World Adventures, called the Mamak family.
Basically, I just continue playing the family for endless generations!

The last time you guys saw them, the family was still in their 2nd generation.
Now, I have reached the 3rd-4th generation! This is going really slow :S

I shall re-introduce them and update you on the family.

1st picture: Old house | 2nd picture: New house

Tom Yam Mamak & Brendan Bunch-Mamak

Tom Yam was adopted by Maggi Mamak. She's ambitious and a workaholic, and her lifetime wish is to become a superstar athlete. She's never late for work, she works harder than the rest of her colleagues and gets promoted very quickly.

But during one of her visits to China, there was a fire going on in the base camp and Tom Yam got caught in it. Fortunately, she did not die. From this life-altering accident, she learns that she has to slow down, relax, and enjoy life.

She met Brendan Bunch, an NPC (non-player character), somewhere in the streets of Sunset Valley.

They got married, Brendan moved in, she got pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl named Bom (Roti Bom) Mamak, who is now a child.

Laksa Mamak & Camille Petit-Mamak

Son of Nasi Mamak and Stacie Mamak (from previous generation). Laksa is the womanizer of the town. He has the charismatic, party animal and friendly traits, which means he can easily makes friends and throws great parties. Other than that, he also has the Attractive lifetime reward, all the girls in town swoon when they see him. He has even established a few relationships overseas, especially in Paris.
He joined the journalism career, writing articles and reviews for the local newspaper.

In Paris, he meets a hydrophobic, Camille Petit. He thinks she's the most beautiful and sweetest girl in the world. After a few months of dating, they decide to go steady. Laksa pops the question and Camille agrees to marry him. Camille moves in and joins the Science career.

Camille has a 'green thumb', which means she is able to grow plants more effectively than other people.

She also gave birth to a baby son (I forgot his name, sorry).

Tosai Mamak

Tosai is the genius, know-it-all of the family. She has achieved her lifetime wish, which is to master the painting and writing skill. She is currently an author-cum-painter.

When it comes to her love life, it's going pretty well. She has a loving and caring boyfriend Malcolm Harrell, which I do not intend to get her married to anytime soon because I have reached the limit for the number of household members, which is 8 :P

The youngest of the 3rd generation is aiming to be a forensic specialist, so she's technically a policewoman :)
And yes, I forgot her name too.

Well, I'm off to playing more of the game! Hopefully I can reach the 4th generation by the end of the game tonight.

Oh, Happiness!

Made a random wallpaper :)

1280x780px wallpaper
(Click picture to enlarge)

Oh, happiness
There's grace enough for us
And the whole human race

Friend or foe
Stranger or kin
All who come
Begin again

Hard or frail
Rich or poor
All in need
Need fear no more

Such a thing to give away

Oh, happiness
There's grace enough for us
And the whole human race

All regrets
Let go, forget
There's something that
Mends all of it

Such a thing to give away

Oh, happiness
There's grace enough for us
And the whole human race

Sound the church bells
Let them ring
Let them ring
For everything can be redeemed
We can be redeemed
Oh, all of us

Oh, happiness
There's grace enough for us
And the whole human race

Amazing Movie Soundtracks

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Besides the plot, scriptwriting, casting and special effects of a movie, I also pay equal attention to the music playing in the background of the scenes.
If you are not interested in or immediately fall asleep when you listen to classical/orchestral/instrumental music, you should stop reading this post right now XD

As I have said in an earlier post, music is able to evoke all kinds of emotions in an individual-depending on the mood of the music- and I am absolutely amazed with its ability to do so. Some of them can be epic, some of them can be poetic and gentle. Some of them even makes me want to cry everytime I hear it (yes, I'm a sucker for beautiful music).

Here are my all-time favourites:

Btw, most of them start out very soft. So, be patient :)
They are arranged in no specific order.

Time composed by Hans Zimmer (From the movie, Inception)
*The song reminds me of destruction and hope at the same time. Weird, isn't it?*

Dream is Collapsing composed by Hans Zimmer (From the movie, Inception)

Changeling End Title Song composed by Clint Eastwood (From the movie, Changeling)

Revolutionary Road End Title Song composed by Thomas Newman (From the movie, Revolutionary Road)

Any Other Time composed by Thomas Newman (From the movie, American Beauty)

The Reader Trailer Song (Primavera) composed by Ludovico Einaudi (From the movie, The Reader)
*The whole song is mainly consisting of piano and violins. The violin part is mind-blowing.*

Discombobulate composed by Hans Zimmer (From the movie, Sherlock Holmes)
*Beginning of the song is VERY soft. The song starts to pick up at around 0:22*

Pirates of the Caribbean themesong composed by Klaus Badelt (From the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean)

President's Speech composed by Harald Kloser (from the movie, The Day After Tomorrow)

The Prince of Persia composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (from the movie, The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time)
*Sounds very similar to The Mummy soundtrack*

Arrival at Aslan's How composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (from the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian)

Maestro composed by Hans Zimmer (from the movie The Holiday)

Homecoming by Christophe Beck (from the movie Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief)
*Very soft in the beginning. Starts to pick up at 0:44*

Megatron Awakens by Steve Jablonsky (from the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen)

P/S: If you noticed/realized, Kate Winslet stars in 3 of the movies mentioned above. She picks movies with good soundtracks to star in :D

Theme by: Pish and Posh Designs
