Life is a lot like jazz... it's best when you improvise...
— George Gershwin
Jazz is freedom. You think about that.
—Thelonius Monk
Jazz music is the power of now. There is no script. It's conversation. The emotion is given to you by musicians as they make split-second decisions to fulfill what they feel the moment requires.
—Wynton Marsalis

Once you get it, you can't stop!
It doesn't take an Einstein to recognize jazz. You hear it, and you just know it. Jazz takes you to another world, a world with no worries.
And it sounds so high-class (what Bryan T said). I love the high-class ambiance and environment. Don't you? Thinking about eating in a high-class restaurant with jazz as background music in some cool country just makes me drool
I'm so trying to learn how to play jazz on the piano, but it's so hard o.O I need to get a book for it.
You probably don't understand what I mean.
Let the music take you to THAT other world~
Diana Krall - The Look of Love
Chris Botti - My Funny Valentine
Ella Fitzgerald - Body and Soul
Thank God for creating jazz :)
And Bossa Nova (this will be another post another day!)
EDIT:
But right, I think I like jazz now because of the Christmas season. Jazz just sounds so much better during Christmas.
~~~~~~~
I don't know why..
I can't wait to grow up and face all those adult challenges out there!
I want to learn how to drive, earn money, buy things myself, live in a studio apartment/luxury apartment, attend cocktail parties etc..
I have big dreams. But I don't do anything to chase it. Sad.
I am so going to come up with a Christmas wishlist soon! Even if I can't get most of the things on the list, at least I can fantasize myself having them!
Dad says if I get straight As for PMR, I'll get a Nike+ shoes, Nike shoes with chips inside that can track your exercises with the iPod Touch/iPhone. RM200+ I have the iPod Touch, now I just need the Nike+ shoes!!
Ok I'll save my fantasizing and ranting for my Christmas wishlist!! I think I'm gonna do it now!
